My concern is radio range strength at 900 feet... at 90 mph, you guys gotta be near 900 feet before your slow enough to turn around and head back ???
Is there an upgrade for radios to gain more range ??( not a twin stick radio )

Hey guys, been talking with some of my friends and there's going to be a bunch of new 1/4 scales from the midwest running with IMDRA. I hope you guys consider running at a couple of events, they are a great bunch of people....but,, your gonna need brakes..

Don't let the track length stop you from meeting some really nice people from all over the country... and some serious competition..I didn't think full scale 1/8 mile drags would be exiting,,but,, man was I wrong...
I'm sure 1/5 scale can run... If there are enough of you ,,,you may have your own class....or... run in bracket...like Hank Cork does with one of his 1/4 cars...
I will be keeping you guys posted when the IMDRA 2011 schedule is out...

I guess I wouldn't mind running a single speed 5th scale on that short track,, but I just can't understand the excitment of running something as big as a quarter scale, from what I have seen the top cars in that class can't hit 60mph...exciting is to see these monsters break 90 plus mph.

My opinion is, an organazation as successful and big as imdra they should have the means of running those cars on the correct scaled track.

No doubt on meeting some great guys there like yourself, but I just don't see it in my future, I will admire the pictures and videos....lol that's the great thing about the internet.

I respect your view, it's tough to accomodate 330' simply because of the areas we run, just not enough room.. but,, if we all participate and the org. grows ,330' track may possibly be more common.. For now, majority rules..
I personaly think that your club president should contact Ron Hicks (IMDRA Pres.) and see if there would be enough interest to have an event at FBF. Let me know if it interests your club and I'll get the contact info.

IMDRA will let you run any car in it's correct class if your willing to pay the entry fee for EACH car...the cost is less, after the first entry.... So, how many do you want to run,now...lol
