im giving up on my 990, think its a lemon. im going back to a 603 or 668 vee.
the 257 and 771 1048 might give you better response etc but im sick of tinkering all the damn time and from what ive read from different forums is they CAN have the same problems.

get yourself a 4 bolt zen or cy, then later a headkit.

if you are looking for a carb thats easy to tune and reliable that dumps a lot of fuel try the 813 once it tuned your done. only drawback it has a short life span maybe a season once it starts to act up change it, don't even bother to rebuild it. you do need large fuel line also

so the standard fuel lines arn't thick enough to the move the fuel needed?
Ive never really thought about changing for larger fuel lines but ill look into it.
also the guys that are using single speed gears on the fg marders/bajas geared for 70/80 mph, what clutch springs are being used? maybe 9500 rpm?,
Ive noticed that some of the fg's are pulling crazy speeds with single gear set up and jhust about being 'on'the pipe the whole time???

thnx
