PostSubject: Just picked up- Pacesetter silver dollar Funny Car- Update    Sat Nov 26, 2011 11:00 pm

Just picked this up today. It's in good shape, and someone did pretty nice work on anodizing a LOT of parts red, even the rear end. I saw it, and just had to have it.

I plan on taking it down to the frame, getting it blasted, repainted then put it back together with a different electronics package.

I went with a gun metal gray color for the chassis.

That looks real nice. I like buying projects like that and restoring it.

Thanks guys.

Not much time for updates the next couple weeks, my sons first birthday and holidays coming up.

Waiting on some parts from Bob Smith also.

Santa might bring me some BRP rubber Smile

Quick Update

Bob Smith came through with some wheelie bars, and a new rear section to fit them. I made some side plates for the upper mount for adjustment.

Also picked up a MRO Body to go along with my Vette.

Worked on it some tonight..

If you saw the build on my chain-drive car, I had the control box up front. This time, I am going to tuck it in the rear this time. I am going to keep the brake servo in the same place as when I got it, and that does not leave a lot of room for other stuff up front.

Here is the trial fitting.

What you see, are the 2 on/off switches, as well as charging jacks for the battery pack.

Well spring is here... Time to get to work on the cars...

I have the FC almost done. All it needs is throttle/brake linkage, and a fuel tank and fuel lines, and get the engine bolted in. I may get BRP rubber front and rear also.

The body will be last.
